On March 13, a precision airstrike was carried out in Iraq’s Al Anbar Province by U.S. Central Command forces, in collaboration with Iraqi Intelligence and Security Forces.
This operation successfully eliminated Abdallah Makki Muslih al-Rifai, also known as “Abu Khadijah,” who was the Global ISIS leader.

Both terrorists carried many weapons and wore “suicide vests” that had not exploded. By using a DNA match from a earlier raid in which Abu Khadijah barely survived, CENTCOM and Iraqi forces were able to identify the terrorist.
Abu Khadijah manages the group’s worldwide operations, logistics, and planning as the Emir of ISIS’ highest ranking decision-making body. He also handles a significant amount of the organization’s financing.
One of the most crucial ISIS members in the entire international ISIS organization was Abu Khadijah. The commander of U.S. Central Command, Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, says, “We will keep killing terrorists and destroying their organizations that challenge our homeland and U.S., allied, and partner personnel in the region and beyond.”
